Mauro Zambrano, leader of the Health Labor Union, was detained by the National Guard during the protests assembled by the Mesa de la Unidad Democrática (MUD) party, taking place at O’Higgins avenue in El Paraíso. The denouncement was made by representatives of the National Assembly, Tomás Guanipa and José Manuel Olivares, through social media. Olivers wrote on Twitter: “they just took Mauro Zambrano of the Health Labor Union! The repression and torture from Maduro continues”.
The MUD summoned the people to gather in the same places as yesterday’s marches, to demand general elections in the country, as well as the establishment of a humanitarian channel and the release of all political prisoners.
